Who are we?
City Church is a growing and vibrant church in Bristol. It is a home for many. Our community is made up of a diverse group of people from across the City. Our desire is to love Jesus, love each other, love our City and love the nations of the world. We want to do church really well but realise that community and people come in all shapes and sizes – so we are not fazed by messiness.
We are Christians; our faith is rooted in the teaching of the Bible. We desire to follow Jesus and help others find and follow him too. You will discover within us a strong emphasis on worship, Bible teaching, community life, telling people about Jesus, mission and family life in all its shapes and sizes.
Lots of different types of people make up City Church; singles, families, sports fans, artists, musicians, craftsmen, home makers, kids, students, academics, professionals, different nationalities, teens and probably someone a bit like you.
Why are we called City Church?
In 1997 a group of Christians moved to Bristol believing that God had spoken to them to start a church that would serve and bless the City. This was the beginning of City Church. Since then the church has grown as people have become followers of Jesus and made City Church their spiritual home. We want to demonstrate God’s love to the city of Bristol and beyond. City Church has been involved in starting other new churches and supporting people overseas to help in church planting.
The best way to find out what we're like is to come along and join us! Find out more information about our Sunday meetings here.
