Lending a hand to those who most need it.
We are a project run by City Church, based in the city of Bristol in the UK. Our aim is to serve those in the areas around our Church as well as building good relationships and encouraging caring community. City Hands provides volunteers to 'lend a hand' with practical tasks to those who most need it. City Hands has been in operation since 2010 and has received excellent feedback from clients and partners.
Whether you're looking to partner with us and refer a client, volunteer to help, or simply want to know more, please get in touch.
Homework Help is a social action project set up by members of City Church Bristol with the following aim:
To help local disadvantaged children and build relationships with their families through educational support and having fun!
Volunteers meet up with children in their homes once a week to provide additional educational support for children whose parents may not be equipped to help them with their schoolwork. In many of the families supported by Homework Help, English is spoken as an additional language in the home, and our involvement brings a vital link between school and home environments.
Alongside educational support, we work also to befriend each family and provide parents with a model of how to engage with learning; our ultimate goal being to help children better understand their school work and demonstrate that learning can be fun too!

At City Church we have a heart for the nations, both here in Bristol, but also further afield. It's our passion to pray for the nations, give to the nations and ultimately train and equip people to go to the nations.
We are currently involved in supporting and working with churches in India and the Middle East, as part of Commission, the family of churches that we are a part of.
