Our vision is to be a church family that shares life together where we can talk openly about our lives with trusted people, care for each other and receive help.
We want everyone to feel a part of this family and encourage joining a Connect Group as a way to build friendships. We also encourage mentoring, discipleship and meeting for regular prayer.
We hope that everyone will have people to turn to in times of struggle, whether this is a friend, Connect Group leader, mentor or prayer partner.
We welcome the opportunity to come alongside people in prayer. Prayer requests can be made via the pastoral care team (pastoralcare@citychurch.org.uk). Members of the prayer team will be available after each Sunday meeting to pray for these requests or to offer one to one prayer with people.
Anyone can face particularly difficult times in life and may need additional help. If you need further support, you can contact the pastoral care team (pastoralcare@citychurch.org.uk). The pastoral care team has leaders and team members at each of our three sites. We hope to be able to offer help within the resources and skills of the team. If you are struggling with an issue that needs specialised support or professional expertise, the pastoral care team can provide you with information about outside agencies.
We also offer a number of courses aimed at supporting emotional wellbeing or dealing with particular issues. For more information on these, visit the Connect Groups page, or get in touch with the church office.
