On Sunday 21st January, we are starting a new 6 week preaching series called Loving People Towards Jesus. The series will be about how through our existing friendships and relationships and others that we meet, we can introduce people to Jesus in a way that is natural, relaxed and fruitful.

The truth is we often approach "evangelism" in a fairly negative sense - we know we're supposed to do it but it feels so awkward and uncomfortable. Furthermore in a world that is increasingly hostile to the gospel, what can we possibly say or do that is going to genuinely make a difference in someone's life?

Our intention with the series is to give you practical tools, ideas and stories to show that Jesus' call to "Go and make disciples" does not have to be about street preaching or handing out tracts, but can be about building genuine friendships with people that allow you to love people towards Jesus in the way that comes most naturally to you.

Much of the content comes from a book of the same name written by Dub Everitt who is one of the leaders at Welcome Church in Woking. Dub came to visit us as a team before Christmas and it was brilliant to hear stories of how the book has had a significant impact on people coming to faith in their church. Dub will be speaking as part of the series at the beginning of March and our prayer is that as we go through the series we would see many people come to faith in Jesus.
