A quick look back and then a look ahead. City Christmas Hope 2024 was a success. Here’s why...

What was given?
Financially we gave £2143.94 and also 60 stockings filled with gifts were donated. Thank you.

What did we achieve?
We supported the brilliant Sixty-one with their gifts to prisoner's project. With other churches we provided for 1100 prisoners. Please read this report for all the details and some inspiring quotes like the following:

Thank you very much for the wonderful gifts and beautiful card that I received. This will be my first Christmas [in prison] and it is wonderful to know that people are thinking of me and my fellow inmates. May I wish you all God’s blessing this Christmas and into the New Year. The work that you do is so valuable and helps people like me turn back to God and live a fulfilling life upon release.

We provided 70 gifts to very vulnerable women in the city! And we hosted a Streetlife Christmas meal on Wednesday 18th December where we handed out all the stockings.

What’s next?
Mentor Me is a Sixty-One project and there is a training starts on 25th January. One hour can make a huge difference. Mentor Me offer fabulous training to prepare you working with ex-offenders. I’d highly recommend them to you. Please see this document for all the information.
